A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN 'PHOENIX' BALUSTER JAR | KANGXI PERIOD, EARLY 18TH CENTURY

A Chinese blue and white porcelain jar, freely decorated throughout with phoenixes soaring on a background of foliate scroll and giant peony blossoms, the neck with a ruyi-band. The color of the blue used for the decoration has a slight grayish tint to it. The glaze on the entire body of the piece, has a bluish tint to it. Footrim feels nice and smooth to the touch. The jar is unmarked, but is early 18th century (Kangxi period), and clearly a minyao piece based on the decoration style.
Condition: The jar is in very good condition, but does have some small star cracks that are only visible on the inside and one larger hairline that goes from the luting line to just above the foot, as well as a larger star crack on the bottom (the hairlines/cracks do not seem to compromise the integrity of the jar in any way). There are also a couple of chips on the inside of the footrim. It also has some production flaws, including an area on the rim that looks like it was repaired, before the jar was fired in the kiln, and a similar round crack near the foot rim, that was also glazed over. Jar was checked with UV and these two spots do not appear to be later repairs, but simply manufacturing flaws. There are alot of imperfections in the glaze, and also some age-related wear. Overall, still a very nice display piece.

RETURNS
If an item doesn't live up to your expectations, contact us within 14 days of delivery to arrange for a return, and a full refund.
To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it. Any item not in its original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, will at best only be partially refunded (depending on the extend of the damage).

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a week.
Late or missing refunds
If you have been notified about an approved refund, but it still hasn't shown up after 21 days, please contact us.
We also recommend in a case like that, that you contact your bank and/or credit card company, just in case there is a delay on their end due to processing times.
